What if fear is the friend that greets us on the bridge to change?Aug 12, 2020
It's ok to be scared.
In fact, there's not a creature on the planet that would survive if FEAR did not do its job to alert us to the threat of a perceived danger.
Fear serves a purpose. It is here to help us navigate our world safely. In the right doses, a little fear can be motivating, exhilarating, and even a little fun!
But what happens when we find ourselves over-dosing on fear? How do we keep fear from causing a debilitating paralysis of anxiety, worry and non-stop stress?
In today's #WhatIfWednesday brainstorm, we look FEAR in the eyes...
What if our fear is here to serve a positive purpose?
What if we develop a healthy, empowering relationship with fear that can move us forward in times of change?
What if we recognize our "false fears" and respond to the "friendly fears" with intention and courage?
If you or someone you know is feeling overwhelmed by the challenges of our times, know that you are not alone.
How do YOU respond to fear? How have your fears guided you and protected you in the midst of uncertainty and change?
“We are more often frightened than hurt; and we suffer more from imagination than from reality.”
